The teaching artists at Speaking Out Collective have been creating playful early childhood adaptations of traditional stories since 2009. We work in consultation with early childhood and mental health professionals as well as community elders.

Kindergarten standards about plants and sunlight are brought to life in this collection of five 30-minute interactive storytelling and puppet making sessions.
Especially for First Grade: Animal Tales
This collection of five 45-60 minute sessions uses interactive stories such as “Why Skunks are Stinky” as a springboard for students to create their own animal stories.
Mental Health and Neurodiversity Interactive Puppet Shows
Performed by a cast of talented teens, these 30-minute interactive puppet shows about animals on Old MacDonald’s Farm introduce age-appropriate mental health and neurodiversity concepts.
